l ensure that my answer(s) will be given in my usual common-sense manner. I see the energy that flows and unites the two-worlds as a natural force, one that has worked in unison with nature and natural forces since the dawn of time.

What do I think when people say about mediums meddling with the dead?

I recently took a spiritual meeting in the West Midlands; my short talk was in relation to this particular question.   It is easy just to say that some people are very single minded, and not open to the ideas, or concepts of others.  In many cases they are bigoted and have no concept of 'spiritual or religious acceptance of other peoples views'.  Often these people have no thought for 'religious tolerance' and are of the belief, that they alone have the all of answers and they are wholly right!   In many cases, the so-called Christians have held a leading role in the persecution of other people, and that their beliefs alone are right, and all others are wrong.  However, it would be easy to point out only one religion for intolerance, persecution, prejudice and discrimination, but they have been have consistently many forms of religion through the anoles of time.  I am aware that there are some Spiritualists haven't gained spiritual knowledge, those who also have failed to learn the true message of 'Spirituality'.
 
So, I thought long and hard about your question and looked down the passage of history.  But during the week I heard 'Thought for the Day' on BBC Radio 2.  The thought was from a Sikh leader, about the 5th Sikh Guru whose name was Guru Arjan Dev Ji; his whole life was about "Religious Tolerance, Peace and Oneness".  The problem was, his actions of peace and tolerance to all people and religions made him popular and masses of people left Islam and Hinduism to join the Sikh faith.  These actions caused problems with those who apposed his fine work and so this lead to a drummed up charge, set against him.  The outcome was imprisonment in Lahore (now Pakistan) and eventually they tortured him.  The method used was to make him sit on 'hot plates' under which fires were set alight, after three days boiled sand was poured onto him.  Eventually, he was chained and cast into the river Ravi, Guru Arjan Dev Ji became the 1st Sikh martyr. 
 
I will placed some information about Guru Arjan Dev Ji onto the website, like this great man I also believe in tolerance of acceptance of others views and firmly believe that in the words of my spiritual teacher "there are many paths, but only one horizon, once there we will come across another horizon", this point refers to the time after we have passed from this life into the great realms of 'Eternal Light". I also feel that an early teaching may be of interest "There is nothing more dangerous that the man or women who knows that they are absolutely right!” we actually know so little, but like Christ, Mohamed, the Great Buddha and the Guru’s the meaning and comprehension of “Oneness” is of great importance, the path we are on is only for the purpose of gaining knowledge, experience and growth perhaps the lady you speak of should look at the meaning of Christ and his teaching and move away from a bigoted and narrow view of life – she may learn for the Lord of Light that we are an eternal family united by one God the supreme God of Light that touches and is central to every living soul.
 
Regarding bible stories there are so many, I for one will not get involved in arguments about them, Spiritualism is not mentioned, it was not recognised until the late 1880's.  The after-life does exist whether you call it Heaven, or the Spirit World it doesn't matter, it is a simple continuum of this life, and there we shall meet again all of our loved ones who are freed from the limitations of this physical life of matter.
 
Please do not be confused about spiritually enlightened. Indeed, we all receive it, this is why we gain a little confusion, better that, than to retort in a negative way towards inward thinking people. Those who have not opened their minds, will gain so little knowledge of the true meaning of life love, peace, compassion and tolerance are some of those simple truths.

How do you describe the Soul?

“The Soul is like a crystalline vessel through which the rainbow of divinity shines through!" The Soul is spiritual energy, which manifests through the body, and expresses itself through voice and movement and whose essence, is to work for the benefit of the whole. At the moment of physical death, the soul leaves and takes on its new manifested form, taking with it impressions, personality and knowledge gained in this world. Every Soul is unique and is attracted by vibrations to other souls, to reach out into the dimension of the “Great Golden Light”.

May I explain that for unfoldment it is important to remember that: “The Soul is the Monarch (the King) of the body, and so suffer not its subject to rebel against it”. This simple philosophy means that when we are out of balance with our inner-self (the Soul) we lose spiritual peace.

Could you explain in simple terms how long does pain last after physical death?

There are many schools of thought; but physical pain, as we know it, will end at the moment our earthly body ceases. However, one should try to remember that often pain ebbs from the body prior to physical death. Nevertheless, pain in the physical sense will always stay within our memory, which is an integral faculty of the ‘Soul’ (reference The Teachings of Jack Corbett).

In our earthly life, we can remember an incident often long past; where we have been hurt, we can still wince at the memory of the pain. In many cases the pain has long gone, but the memory brings back instant recollection to the incident were physical pain had occurred. I also draw try to draw one’s attention upon the memory of a painful experience, when often a loved one returns through clairvoyance to give clarification of life after so called death. Proof is provided of their survival through reference to their physical pain; endured prior to their transition beyond the earthly experience.

Do I see Ghosts?

The answer is “No”. But “Yes” I do see spirit people, those who have moved out from this world into light. Like many others, find it sad that some many people spend time and effort on the subject of ghosts, phantoms, knocking, tapings and darkness.

For those who are clairvoyant with the developed skills of either “Objective Clairvoyance” or “Subjective Clairvoyance” we are able to see a wonderful community of people free from pain, disease, sadness and sorrow. Objective clairvoyance is to see clearly and subjective clairvoyance” is to see within the minds eye. What more amazing sight, than to glimpse upon people who are moving outward on the great journey of eternity reaching to the higher ether of the great realms of light. Yes, we all posses the God gave gifts of clairvoyance, clairaudience and clairsentience. To see, hear and be aware of people who interact with us on a higher vibrational level. Perhaps the lure of fame and fortune is the motivator. But why, seek darkness or despair; it may be an easy option to provide anecdotal or spurious evidence.

Mediumship carries great responsibility. So my work is like that of many others, who see and communicate with a world of great beauty. We see people of light, in a world of celestial bliss in which one-day we will all interact and grow. So in conclusion, may I exchange an old teaching from my spiritual teacher Jack Corbett? If your eyes are impaired you will need to wear spectacles, or else you will only see a blurred image. Develop the spiritual, true mediums sight is not impaired, their vision is a clear. Perhaps the pathway of mediumship is hard, but seeing through the God given gift of objective clairvoyance is a truly wondrous sight, well worth the time and effort.

What happens in the world of eternity for evil people like murders and their innocent victims?

This is a complex question. I have tried to open my mind to give others an opportunity to understand. I do hope that my answers are of use to you on your own spiritual pathway. Well, it is a simple, yet complex question. One has to understand that the process of life and death are a natural happening; however, where there have been acts of evil, accident or great tragedy, there are other things that happen and interact with movement of the physical, spiritual or etheric body.

Murders and people who conduct acts of evil upon others must find his own path into light and ultimately will have to pay back (spiritually) their dues to enter into the spheres of eternity. The threshold of eternity is still open to them; yet, they will have to pay their dues before eventually entering the golden light that awaits us all. Yes, this passage is open to all of us; but as a Spiritualist and within my own comprehension in the realms of spirituality.
I believe that we all receive compensation and retribution for the good and evil things we do here on earth. They people must work to repay their debt to humanity, those they have hurt, and the people who have felt pain and tragedy at their hands. Sadly, at the point of physical death many people experience the physical pain, are frightened, at and during the terrifying experience but the movement from this World is instantaneous into their new life ‘into the realms of light’. There most definitely would be loving and caring hands to welcome them home, one would also ascertain that the healing hands of many ‘Great Spiritual Teachers’ would and perhaps are, still giving comfort, support and love. Indeed, they help both of them in coming to terms with the act of evil, which befit both of them.

I also believe they will attain peace through knowledge and understanding and have within themselves a great love that has been freed from the limitation of Earth and this peace will have grown since they took their transition from this life into eternity. The surrounding of which they now live and move will bring peace and realisation, perhaps they are now helping to support others who in their infancy have to suffer the anguish, pain and sadly terror at the hands of aggressors and those who walk the pathways of Earth in darkness. It is because of this, and other people who are surrounded by darkness, that those who work in Light must endeavor to continue on the path of ultimate light to bring eternal cohesion between the two-planes, we know as the Earth and Soul Worlds.

We often say ‘peace cometh after pain’ with the young and vulnerable our thoughts must go out to them and the Great Leader and Teachers of Light that this World one day may be released from darkness, shadow and into the supreme Light of unconditional Love and Peace.

Do you believe when we reincarnate from spirit we choose our parents, how we live, and how we die etc.

One must try to remember that reincarnation is the exception rather than the rule. We return into the physical “Earth” for a specific reason. Often the purpose is not just for you but also for someone else’s progression. In this example one should try to realise the working of the ‘whole’ and realise, that the conscious state of the supreme power lies in the spiritual attainment of the collective. Please take comfort from these words from my Spiritual Teacher Mr. Jack Corbett – “Spiritually, through the association of mind intelligence that is the working principle of the whole, reach out with your mind, and come together as one with the Spirit”. Try to remember that we come together as both a giver and as a receiver of our individuality and purpose, coming together as one in harmony of the purpose of your eternal pathway.

How can I improve my Meditation?

Perhaps if you are meditating in a group; the group may not be the right one spiritually for you; or if you are meditating alone, try to make a special time perhaps Friday evening 7.00pm till 8.00pm. Relax, try some soothing music, open your mind allow the light to envelop you, take away any fears; again relax, take a few deep breaths and above all enjoy your mediation.

Send out positive thoughts to all people who may be in need. It is through giving, that you will receive positive energy to uplift you and enlighten your pathway into spiritual understanding.

Can you explain in more detail about Soul Mates?

Often one misinterprets the word 'soul-mate'. In reality, "we are all parts of a stupendous whole whose body nature and God is the Soul". This means that we are all interactive with each other and as such this short Earthly experience is a great opportunity for the furtherance of the “Soul-Cell”.

With this in mind, perhaps we should try to realise that we all interact and intercommunicate between ourselves and as such part of the divinity we often call God or The Great Creator. Some people we interact with easier; but often opposites, though difficult, can bring us to greater spiritual understanding and appreciation of others who are on this Earthly Path.

Does a child grow up in the Spirit World?

This is a very complex question; but in simple terms the answer is yes, and the child will often return to present evidence of its eternal survival. Conversely, once one envisages that life is like a great stream and you look further, you are then able to conceive the complexity that life is multi-dimensional and appreciate the consequences within the process of cause and effect, placed upon all souls.

The young child may show the characteristic of the ‘child’ to provide comfort and reassurance of love to the bereaved. But, on entering the Spirit World opportunity is expressed by a collective experience, the great potential that we all share. It is within this great capacity, that all of us will unfold our true divine potential, through the realms of the collective whole. Therefore, as the child grows, we grow, through gaining inner-peace, knowledge, understanding and love.

In what way does cause and effect (good and bad) influence our spiritual progression?

Perhaps one could remember: “We fashion the pathway your footsteps now tread, life will reflect our thought and actions”. Accordingly, as you go forward with spiritual understanding, all you desire will come as you earn the right to attain it.

Our thoughts are like a “blue print” from which the future is unfolded, no lesson can be ignored, and therefore every experience has its essence of the future, which will be understood clearer as we move towards or away from the “Divine Light”.

How did I gain his Spiritual Knowledge?

The cornerstone of my work has been through my Spiritual Teacher and Mentor Jack Corbett. Conversely, my work is built upon common sense, and having simple and easily understood answers to normal questions.

I sat for spiritual unfoldment and teaching for nine years with Jack Corbett. There were times when it became routine and tiring after a full days work; but I held true to my conviction and traveled every Friday evening from his home in Nottingham to Leicester often not returning until the early hours of the morning. Regarding attaining spiritual knowledge, I often remember my Spiritual Teachers words: “Hard work and effort is the workbench for all knowledge and spiritual understanding”.

One should also try to remember; this “world is the schoolhouse of learning” and those of the spirit world embrace us with the opportunity to learn from the lessons of life. Use your senses, look around everything in this world is but a symbol of the next world, enjoy the beauty of nature and drink in its fragrances and the philosophy of the spirit is embraced within the world we live and interact in.

How far away is the Spirit World and how close is Physical Death?

Let me answer the first question first. Physical death is but a heartbeat away. The Spirit World is that close, it interacts in a natural process, within the energy fields of both the Earth and Soul Worlds. This explanation is why so many people after the passing of a loved one; sense their continued ‘presence’ around and about them.

Physical death is like a cloak that is an-interactive element of humanity that exists around and about us throughout our earthly experience. All of us have very close encounters with the laws that affect our eternal existence, but one should remember that ‘life and death’ are the two great experiences of the Souls wonderful journey. One should learn to take away fear, and remember that death is the gateway to our eternal continuation. When our time comes to venture beyond the boundaries of earth; we must cross the rolling tides and return to our true home in the “Kingdom of Light” to embrace our loved ones in true spiritual harmony.

May I explain a little further; whilst serving as a young man in the Royal Navy onboard the aircraft carrier HMS Eagle; part of my job was to work underneath the aircraft. One day I was lying directly under the main fuel tank of a twin-rotating propeller aircraft. The fuel tank burst and gallons of aviation fuel pored over me and my first instinct was to get away as quickly as possible. Aviation fuel filled my eyes and mouth as well as penetrating my clothing and started to burn my skin. Ignoring the correct safety procedure I dashed forward without thinking, but I had run directly towards the spinning propellers. In an instance a massive force, like a great hand, pushing away from danger; out from under the aircraft; I finished up in a crumpled heap about 15meters from the aircraft. A very close encounter with physical death, one that I have not forgot – an example of a situation many of us encounter – “Death in the physical sense, is but a breath away”!

Do I get asked strange questions?

Perhaps not strange, but unusual, and sometimes there are sad questions that are borne out of fear, confusion or general lack of training regarding spiritual knowledge. I can recall a question asked recently concerning a person who had been to “medium/psychic” who gave confusing and perplexing information. One comment referred to “black magic” and this caused anxiety and fear. “It is always best if one speaks to a properly trained medium/psychic least these sort of problems continue to disturb the person”. Moreover, if you have an illness would, you ask an unqualified stranger to give you a diagnosis, or if you had toothache would you go to a plumber for repair work?

The answers to both questions of course are the same no! You would always go to a professionally qualified person. Therefore, if you need spiritual guidance or help it is imperative that you seek support from the skilled protagonist. Mediumship takes with it a great responsibility; even with the gifted, it takes skill, effort and dedication to attain the crown of spiritual attainment - there are no short cuts to Mediumship.

To the untrained or weak-minded “black magic” and other such subjects may have a curiosity value; but one should always seek ‘light’ and gain that inner-knowledge which is built on goodness, love and truth. Seek only the highest, thus gaining peace and understanding in knowledge that people from the Spirit World will work to unfold our latent gifts in truth, love and light. What is the difference between a Psychic and a Medium?

There is difference; but too often people get confused and this confusion often misses the point. In the first instance, if you receive a spirit message and it helps, gives you comfort or guidance then whether from a Psychic or a Medium it is irrelevant, the most important thing is that you are given support, direction and comfort.

Nevertheless, some people are more suited to work in the psychic spheres. These are perceived as lower in vibration; but have an important part to play, if they are working in light and love. Spiritual Mediums work on a higher vibration level; this is not at the detriment of the Psychic, for one can only use the gift given by the divine light – the creator of the universe.

When you talk of Signs and Symbols what do you mean?

The entire material world is but a symbol of something that is greater. Every part of it is there, because of some inner-spiritual cause. As you look at the face of nature, you are looking at a series of ‘symbols’ that stand for deep spiritual-truths and if you search inwardly you will find a rich lesson to be learned from everything you do see.

Signs and Symbols given to the medium help to pass information and is an intricate part of the unfoldment of spiritual awareness. I explain this more when he conducts one of his many “Spiritual Seminars”.

Why do Mediums charge a fee?

True Spiritual Mediums do not charge for their gift; but the charge is for their time, a most valuable asset in this material life. It is said, “Time and tide wait for no man”. Others may point to the fact that people engaged in orthodox religions, often, are paid for their service.

How far away is the Spirit World?

In simple terms the Spirit World is just a breath away, one single heartbeat from one dimension into another, one step from the kingdom of Light!

Is there a place for animals in the Spirit World?

Most certainly all-living things move forward in the Spirit World. Love is the bond that unities all things and is a truth that has been handed down since the dawn of time and cannot be destroyed or lost.
There is a bond that allows animals to enter into and to be embraced by the eternal light. Many believe that animals are the key to embracing ourselves through their undivided love, often seen with family pets, whose love abounds all things.

How many years does it take to become a Medium?

Through the annals of time there is no measurement, but one has to have the divine gift of Mediumship. Even so it takes years and years of dedication and effort to attain the standards required. Spirit Guides cannot give you your gift only God can do this. Through spirit guidance you are inspired, then you are directed to the best possible way to bring out the beautiful gifts of the Spirit, that all mankind may share in the happy news; that we can never die.

Mediumship is but a bridge that brings the two worlds together. So they must direct the light even in the darkest of places, that all may come to know that in that future day, we shall meet again. Mediumship carries a great responsibility, and is able to feel and become aware of things out side of the physical. This brings the two-worlds together as one to allow the Spirit to cross the bridge and for a short time and to establish a contact with a dear one still in Earth. They bring together the “Soul World” and the “Earth World”, that man may find comfort peace and joy, as he travels towards the homeland.

I spend more time during “Spiritual Seminars” explaining how to unfoldment of your inner-soul self and becoming more attuned to higher spiritual vibrations.

When I saw my father after his physical death was there any fear?

No. Indeed after his father’s death in 1971 like many others often do, spent many days and months in deep thought and reflective sadness. I was able to go back over the final events of my father’s psychical life through the landscape of a dream. Yet, when arriving at the hospital, rather than being greeted by what I expected, I was met by my father who spoke gently, and he shone with health, he asked me never to worry about him again. On showing where his illness had been, my father again asked me to never ever worry about him – he was happy, safe and well! At the moment of agreement I left the Astral Plane and returned into the Physical World at lightning speed.

Was it a dream of false hope? Well it is now over 36 years ago but the memory is just as clear today. This has always my motivation to help others; who have not had the fortune to experience the beauty of the gateway to the World of Light.

What is Subjective and Objective clairvoyance?

Subjective clairvoyance is more common in modern Mediumship and is simply to see within the “minds eye”.

Objective clairvoyance is to see the form of spirit as a more solid form this is less common. However, one may often see a spirit in its natural state and you may not realise that they are in fact seeing a spirit person. This has been reported on countless occasions and is often referred to as when the ‘hand of spirit’ has guided a traveler towards a safe haven.

Today most clairvoyants’ work within the “mental-medium” state, this where the subjective is more apparent, and is often referred to as “seeing in the minds-eye”. People also talk about the third-eye, of course there are no spirit people with three eyes, and it merely refers to the awakening of the minds-eye or opening of the mental plate. This is spoken about more in the “Teachings of Jack Corbett”, which I hope to publish at a later date.

What is a Spirit Doorkeeper?

This is where you give reference to the main Spirit Guide or some people may call them their guardian angel. These highly evolved spirit teachers have vast experience of past lives on this earthly plane. Their wisdom and teaching helps a person spiritually gifted or not through the many changing experience of this life, comfort the bereaved and direct thoughts to encourage spiritual growth and earthly knowledge and understanding.

My doorkeeper is a very special friend who teaches my mind and supports you through corridors of experience and spiritual fulfillment. It is through the settled mind that we are able to reach out and unravel the mysteries of the universe. The mind holds the key to all mind, one should always remember that ‘thoughts are living things’ and thoughts travels fast than light or sound. It is the mind that will see again the glory of the greater days – the day we cross that small divide and enter into the kingdom of light.

Is it natural for spirits of recently departed people to attend their own funerals?

It is often thought you perhaps may wish to see those who attend for a purely inquisitive reason, but yes of course those who have recently passed over are still close to their past earthly life. There may be sadness for those who though only a breath away are in a state of deep loss. It is a difficult time and newly departed people who have little knowledge of spiritual existence are still coming to terms with their altered state of consciousness.

At a recent funeral service I conducted, the spirit presence of lady was evident. During her last few months of illness prior to her early transition through cancer, the lady had spoken to meat great lengths about the spirit world that awaited her. Though the healing I gave could not physically cure the illness, healing did provide great comfort and eased away fear and sadness. This helped her to come to terms with the illnesses and eased her gentle movement beyond the rolling tides of matter, and into the arms of family and friends who awaited her with tears of joy at her homecoming.

Many years ago I conducted my wife's Grandmothers funeral, during the committal she moved forward from the spirit realms and made her presence known to him. Generally, one sees the objective form similar to the physical. But on this occasion I was taken aback to see his wife’s Grandmother is her spiritual role, observing a step further into the Kingdom of Light. Even Wordsworth, Byron or Shakespeare would be hard pressed to find words that can closely describe that beauty I witnessed – a truly wonderful sight that can never be forgotten.

How do we know if in our present life we have improved on a previous life?

In the physical sense we much realise that we cannot chose our family – but we can chose our friends. However, there are occasion when we have a special affinity with a family friend, father mother etc and this is the closeness of the interaction of the ‘Soul Cell’. We cannot in the sense choose how we die – death is but a gateway into the spheres of eternal life. Please remember that it is a responsibility to maximise life’s pathway and not to take steps that would avert the normal processes of life and death!

Again, this has to be understood in the context of our life and our interaction with others both in the Physical and in the Great Soul World. Measurement of our growth is not calculated by the outward material gain, but more the inner soul-self and through its effort and positive effect on others. In short, live for this life and do not dwell on the past, seek the highest and endeavour to work in humility and true service of the spirit. One of my teachings is: “Better to live with the dreams for tomorrow; rather than sleep with the disappointments of yesterday”; or “No one ever fails if they give of their best”.
